An avid Oh Joy! reader, I particularly adore Joy's "this & that" posts that showcase her beautiful pairings of home decor, accessories, clothing, furniture, etc. Her creativity has inspired my "sip & style" category, where I will share carefully selected teaware & fashion duos.
Considering that June is National Iced Tea month, I thought it might be best to honor this chilly treat in my first "sip & style" post. Anthropologie's precious pink & green fleur-de-lys tumblers will be the standout teaware pieces at any iced tea party. The tinted glass will catch the summer sun just right and still allow the iced tea liquor to shine through. Delicate and whimsical, these tumblers pair perfectly with Whitney Eve's vibrant and playful tap shorts (I would love to fill my closet with every piece in Whitney's feminine collection).
So, slip on these bright shorts and steep a tea with bold flavors to match the vibrant summer hues. Maybe a hibiscus tisane or jasmine pearl? Fill up the tinted tumblers, step into the sun and celebrate your chilly sip with a few friends.
What would you wear to an iced tea party?

This is beautiful! I love these glasses and how you paired it with the darling outfit!
Makes me want to plan a tea party. {now}.
I think I'll wear a floaty, sheer, floral dress with sandals and make a big pitcher of Tazo Passion iced tea-lemonade!

Thanks for the kind feedback. I'm glad that it inspired you to want to plan a tea party. I'm planning an iced tea party at the moment and can't wait to post about it!
Your tea party dress & tea pairing sound lovely. Be sure to share some pics if you do have that lovely tea party!

Ha even before I read your post I knew those glasses were from anthro! Oh I have burned too much money in that store. More posts like this please.
For a tea party I would wear my knee length linen skirt with my coral pink sweater that has pearl buttons on the back. To top things off, or bottom things off, I would wear my cute floral and sage sling backs that have a beautiful burnt orange bow over the peep toe. Those shoes are as cute as tea cups. (I bought them for that reason alone)
I would wear that outfit while eating green tea icecream and drinking down a nice glass of iced green mint tea. w

wow, what a lovely description. that sounds like a fabulous tea party outfit. have you ever worn it to anything tea related?
And yes, there will be more where this came from. I plan on posting a sip & style post at least once a month.
