In an effort to embrace May's blossoming buds while escaping the heat,I took a quick trip with a dear friend to Terrain at Styer's to soak in their beautiful blooms and keep cool with an icy sip of tea. The breathtaking flower arrangements (seen above) were so imaginative and whimsical.
This mecca of natural beauty made my heart skip a beat and caused my wallet to shed a little tear. As I began to fill my woven basket with plum lavender jam, miniature glass vases, a Provence lavender plant, and a pineapple sage plant, I felt myself become deeply rooted in the wonderful world of nature.
After thoroughly exhausting my shopping muscles (a.k.a the left forearm being subjected to the heavy weight of the basket), we escaped to their garden cafe and settled into the corner spot. Craving something cool, my dear tea-loving friend and I opted to share two chilly tea treats, an iced blackberry chai and vanilla mint. The delicate honey blended ever so perfectly with the rich vanilla and refreshing mint. The blackberry chai dazzled my taste buds with exotic spices and bursts of berries. Local, backwood berries seemed to meld with foreign lands.
As we sipped these tea treats from the adorable glass jars, I knew that I found my perfect getaway. Making our way to the car, I anticipated my next Terrain journey. Consciously leaving one coveted item behind (the fabulous fruit honey flight), I knew I would be venturing back sooner than later...
