As wedding invitations seem to multiply in my mailbox, I'm secretly wishing that tea will find its way into their special occasion. So, you can only imagine my excitement when Neeta from Language of the Leaf graciously sent me samples of their personalized Wedding Tea Favors.
When the package arrived, I opened the box to find an array of tea treats. I quickly took a peek at the tins that were personalized for momentous events, like weddings and baby showers. What a perfect way to capture a special day and share your love of tea with the ones you loves most.
Carefully removing the dainty tops, the aroma of the tea treasures tucked within soothed my senses. From loose leaves of their bombay chai to a delicate silken sachet of green tea infused with tropical fruit, my senses were delighted with each surprise. Underneath the tin tops were names of the teas along with simple brewing notes.
I'll admit that the aroma of the sachet of Biscotti Ceylon tea with cinnamon and almonds truly sent me into a tea frenzy. Each sip was a sweet escape. The ultimate dessert tea.
Saving the best for last, I held the delicately embossed box in both hands before slowly removing the lavender ribbon. Tucked inside was a grand silver tin of their Wedding Tea, a blend of white tea, peach nectar and rosebuds. Hoping to see a few beautiful petals, I was surprised to find gorgeous white leaves mingling with whole rosebuds (I could only wish that all couples would use their flower budget towards tea infused with flowers that would last long after the band played their final song).
As I gently closed each luxious tea tin, I secretly hoped that I would find these personalized favors at one of the many weddings on my calendar. I wonder which tea would capture the lovely couples? Something sweet or spciy? Time to call the bridesmaids and share this tea secret...
quick tea party tip: if wedding bells aren't sounding all around you, you could personalize a few tea tins for your next tea party. plan ahead for a winter tea festival and give guests tea tins filled with warming teas, like bombay chai.
