During my visit to Chinatown for dim sum and Chrysanthemum Puerh tea, I wandered into a few shops in search of a tasty tea-infused treat. My heart skipped a beat when I saw a bag of green tea pumpkin seeds that immediately found its way into my bag and then onto my plate.
A visual treat, each bite was perfectly salted with a slightly vegetal and sweet flavor from the green tea powder. I devoured every seed before I could begin experimenting in the kitchen, although, I can only imagine that the seeds would be the perfect companion to a crisp salad. Hooray for tea treats!
Just discovered your blog after seeing the post on Green Kitchen Stories. Hooray! I don't follow any tea blogs, so I'm excited to see yours. I had no idea there was a chrysanthemum pu-erh. That sounds like my idea of heaven. I love chrysanthemum tea - especially iced in summer. And pu-erh is a real treat for me. Are there any sources online that you'd recommend for ordering chrysanthemum pu-erh?

Hi Julia. So glad that you found my tea blog through Green Kitchen Stories (a favorite of mine). I have yet to steep and ice chrysanthemum tea, so thanks for the suggestion. Chrysanthemum pu-erh is new to me, but I recently found this http://www.chicagoteagarden.com/buy/china/chrysanthemum-pu-erh-tuocha

Excellent! Thanks for that link! I'll check it out. I got hooked on iced chrysanthemum tea in Thailand. It's delicious and very thirst-quenching in the heat, and it goes well with a hint of sugar or honey.

Hope it helps. Looking forward to sipping iced chrysanthemum tea this summer (esp since I just learned that its detoxifying). Maybe I'll try it with a dab of lavender honey...
