My gold peep toe wedges glistened in the rain while I ran to my very first fashion show at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. As the glass door closed behind me, the miniature eiffel tower quickly sent my mind to a parisian dream.
For the past few weeks, I have been tailoring my sip & style posts to showcase Philly tea steeps paired with fashionable creations from local designers who were featured in last night's Paris-inspired runway show, part of PIFA (Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts). Consider this post the finale and the cherry on top of my couture cake.
Anxiously flashing my press pass clipped to my clutch, I never expected that it would lead me to a front row seat. As the striking models moved to the parisian pop beat, I anticipated the grand turn at the end of the runway with a brightly lit tower setting the scene. Cobalt blue cocktail dresses, lemon yellow ruffles, and sweet peachy pink skirts sent me swooning.
Even though I traded in my tea cup for a glass of Chardonnay, I dreamed of sipping of jasmine green or orchid oolong, two floral steeps that would have perfectly paired with the elegant evening.
Stay tuned as teaspoons & petals explores the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts through May 1st. This post is supported by PIFA and reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.
This is delightful. Love your writing style. I too had a little squeal of pleasure at being seated front row. Alas, my photos did not come out as well as yours. Wish we had met ... perhaps at another event.
