I've missed you. Yes, this separation anxiety from sharing my steeped escapades has made my heart ache, but I promise you that I've been gathering memories, recipes and tips to share from several tea inspired journeys. Consider this my formal announcement for an influx of teaspoons & petals posts. I'm practically bursting with stories and photos.
From celebrating spring's recent arrival to teaspoons and petals' 4th anniversary (March 23rd officially), I couldn't think of a more perfect time to jump right back into the swing and spring of things. I feel as if I have been flying about and I'm finally landing with a suitcase of souvenirs and a full camera.
Speaking of flying, I had had the pleasure of experiencing my first steep on an airplane. When traveling, I often tuck pouches of tea sachets into my purse (doesn't everyone?). Although I never had considered unlocking the joy of the mid-air steep. Miles from the ground, I asked the flight attendant for a cup of hot water. As I waited for it to cool, I gently opened the pouch of Hojicha. I could feel the curious gazes of those around me as I steeped the Japanese green tea, the roasted aroma adding a warming scent to the cabin. I closed my eyes and blissfully captured the memory of my steeped sensory adventure in the sky. What new tea memories have you added to your steeped story lately?
